Wrapping the perfect Holiday gift with AR Metallizing

While the true origins of gift wrap and how long it has existed are a mystery, we do know one thing: wrapping paper helps people feel happy - and there’s nothing quite as heartwarming as selling a loved one unwrap something they truly wanted. Let’s take a look at how to wrap the perfect gift:

Put it in a box

There are hundreds of tutorials out there on how to wrap parcels of all shapes and sizes, but if you want to make life easier for yourself here’s a top tip: square or rectangular boxes are much more simple to wrap and look better than lumpy packages.

Opt for beautiful, high-quality gift wrap

When it comes to wrapping paper, the thicker the better. Not only is premium paper far easier to fold over sharp edges, it will also resist tears - until the time has come to enthusiastically rip it off, of course! When it comes to colours, nothing says Holiday Season quite so much as deep wintery colours such as burgundies and forest greens, or alternatively, shimmery silvers and icy blues.

Add a picture-perfect bow

Bows are an easy way to add a perfect final touch to your gifts. Leaving the ribbon on the roll, hold one end down with a finger and follow the ribbon around the box lengthwise. Cross the ribbon over, and then follow the long end around the width of the box. Cut the end off and then tie your bow as you would a pair of shoelaces, making sure you have a perfect X shape. Lastly, pinch the ends of the ribbon and cut them at a 45-degree angle. If you’d like a more detailed tutorial, we love the video below!
