Retirements

Thanking our retirees for years of hard work.

Patrick (Production Team Belgium)

After nearly 38 years of dedicated service, Patrick is leaving our Production Team.

We would also like to take some space in Reflections to show our gratitude for all that Patrick has done for our organization.
Patrick could usually be found at the sheeters where he was a good operator with a lot of experience. The sheeter really had no secrets from him. Also, at the B8, our winding machine with waffling, which takes care of the supply of paper for the sheeters, Patrick was often deployed. And if something did go wrong with the sheeting, he could always correct it on the Polar.

Patrick was a role model colleague and a particularly valuable contribution to the success of our team over the years. On behalf of the entire organization, we thank Patrick for his service and dedication to our company. His professionalism and excellence will be missed and remembered by all of us.
As Patrick begins a new chapter in his life, we wish him every happiness, health, and prosperity. We are proud that you were part of our team. Thank you again for your hard work, kindness, and dedication to serving our customers. We will miss you!

Detlef (Production Team Germany)

Detlef Vanselow has worked for us for 38 years, qualifying from the bottom up, from the printing assistant to one of the most experienced machine operators on the printing presses and later laminating and painting systems up to shift supervisor.

Always competent, ‘never at a loss for pithy ‘Berlin sayings - one of our most experienced and most competent production people. No one could easily fool him. He even worked a year longer than he had to, which gave us the opportunity to prepare for his departure in the long term, even if someone with his experience is not 100% replaceable anyway.

He retired on August 1st, 2023. We are happy for him but will miss him personally and professionally. As a small thank you, he received a snow-white hydrangea for his garden, which we hope will remind him of us in the years to come. In addition, the colleagues have collected and created a great photo album for him with memories of his paths at work and career in the factory. In August he said goodbye to his shift with a little party.
